The Summit began in 1998 when a faith-filled group of people stepped out to plant a new church in Central Arkansas. This church would be a place where prayer was the foundation and the presence of God was welcomed and experienced. This church would be about reaching the next generation and helping hurting people. This church would teach God's Word boldly and unapologetically and would have a heart to send people to the nations.  Our desire has always been to help as many people as we can become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Bill Elliff is the Founding & National Engage Pastor of The Summit Church. His passion is to see both genuine revival and methodological renewal in the church—both new wine and new wineskins. He is a frequent conference speaker, writer, and consultant to churches drawing from his 50+ years of pastoring and revival ministry. Bill leads our Summit Send Church Planting Residency that raises up and sends out church planters each year around our state and nation.  Bill is also the Pastor/Church Director for OneCry! A Nationwide Call for Spiritual Awakening and the author of twelve books and booklets and numerous articles.

Bill has been married to his wife, Holly, for over 48 years. Bill and Holly have 8 children, all married and all serving the Lord. They have 25 grandchildren at present … and counting!
