Week 3 / Passage + Prayer

PASSAGE
Ephesians 2:19-20
So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.

PRAYER
Father, we thank You that it was You who established the faith family - the church. We praise You that Your Word is the foundation of it and Christ is the cornerstone. We thank You that the life of following Christ was never meant to happen alone, and today, we recognize our need for the local body of believers. We thank You that in Your forming of the church, Your desire is to go after every tribe, tongue, and nation. We praise You that those before us took this mission so seriously that it made it to us. We ask that You give us the desire to now pass it on to others who are far from God. We confess that isolation is easy. We confess that looking inward is easy. We ask that by the power of the Holy Spirit we would have Your heart for others and that multitudes would be added to our number daily, for Your name and Your renown are the desire of our souls.
