What a fantastic day the Lord gave us yesterday as we met until 1:15. God reminded us of the truth of Isaiah 43:18-19:
Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.
The Lord is graciously doing so many “new things” among us that we need to be “aware” of…we need to recognize and cooperate with in His merciful activity. We recognized yesterday the “new normal” for all of us.
Instant obedience: not quenching His Spirit or despising what He says (1 Thess 5:19-21)
Humble transparency: the willingness to admit our needs and sin so others could join in and help us (James 5:16)
Spirit control: releasing our schedule, priorities, and agendas to the Holy Spirit, letting Him fully lead (Ephesians 5:18: Gal. 5)
Expectant Worship: Believing that the Lord is present each time we gather and anxious and able to do mighty works among us (Isaiah 12)
Word dependence- The daily reality of the Word and a belief that if God says something to us, we must listen and respond …that it is not a dead book but the voice of God to us. (Hebrews 4:12)
Spontaneous giving: Understanding that no one should consider anything they have as their own and a willingness to give at the slightest prompting of God’s Spirit…and also not to withhold our tithes and offerings and rob God. (Malachi 3:10; Acts 4:34-37)
Authentic love: A passion for others- seeing them as God sees them and responding to them as God directs (1 Corinthians 13)
Bold witness: Being filled with God’s Spirit and speaking the word with boldness EVERYWHERE WE GO! (Acts 4:31)
Believing PRAYER: Believing that God’s “eye is open and His ear is attentive” to our prayers as we humbly respond to Him (2 Chronicles 7:14-15) and that “if we abide in Him and His Word abides in us we can ask whatever we will and it will be done for us.” (John 15:7)
Bigger vision: Being willing to carry a burden for the whole city for revival in the church and spiritual awakening among the lost and the rapid advance of God’s kingdom around the world. (Isaiah 43:18-19)
We also shared that we feel the Lord is calling us to meet MONDAY NIGHT only this week (unless He directs otherwise) at 7 PM for corporate prayer. And, we felt led to call our people to begin multiple PRAYER GROUPS all across the city this week—in their homes, communities, businesses, schools, etc.
JOIN US TONIGHT AT 7 PM. DON’T MISS IT! COME PRAYING.
