Orange Blog #8 God Moves to Invite You Into a Bigger Story

So...It's Your Move

Just in case you haven't read all 7 blogs before, here's the cliffnotes version of my Orange Blogs.

We are created to MOVE. Jesus reminds us to make ONE move; LOVE God with every part of you that moves.

That one move toward God influences how everything else moves. It specifically moves us to love others and ourselves in a better way.

As a leader, parent, teacher, mentor, or coach, you are called to help the next generation MOVE in a better direction relationally.

So you should incite WONDER to move them to trust an infinite God.

You should provoke DISCOVERY to move them to value themselves.

You should fuel PASSION to move them to care about others.

These three relationships help anyone MOVE toward resolving the core issues of who I am (identity), what I become (autonomy), and where I belong (belonging).

So, invite this generation to MOVE into the context of a bigger story.

Help them recognize the spiritual insights that MOVE in and through everystory, every doctrine, every truth, every Bible.

Encourage them to keep moving forward in their understanding of how each of these insights will shape the way they see their world.

Wonder - God designed the world and created me in His image with a unique identity so I can connect to Him as my Heavenly Father.

Discovery - When I follow His Son Jesus by faith, His Spirit transforms me and empowers me to live out His truth.

Passion - I choose to live in a community of family and friends showing God's love and compassion every day and demonstrating His story of restoration to the world.

There is too much at stake to let this generation get disallusioned, discouraged, stuck, and lose their faith.

They need leaders and parents who are determined to help the MOVE.

It's your move.

"We get one story, you and I, and one story alone. God has established the elements, the setting and the climax and the resolution. It would be a crime not to venture out, wouldn't it?"
